CALL FOR PAPERS

Special Track on AI for Socio-Ecological Welfare

July 1 Merida, Yucatan, Mexico
www.iccbr24.org/ai-track

As part of the 32nd International Conference on Case-Based Reasoning (ICCBR 2024), we are excited to announce a dedicated track seeking high-quality contributions under the theme "AI for Socio-Ecological Welfare." This special session will be part of the ICCBR workshops and invites submissions exploring innovative AI methodologies and applications that also contribute to solve global and regional social and ecological challenges, not necessarily related to Case-Based Reasoning.

In an effort to broaden participation, Mexican researchers contributing to this special track will receive complimentary access to the plenary ICCBR sessions and a reduced registration fee.

Motivation

In the wake of urgent socio-ecological issues, AI has the potential to drive significant positive change. This track focuses on harnessing AI's power to foster sustainable solutions for ecological conservation, natural resources management, society welfare, and the intricate interplay among them. We encourage submissions that showcase AI's capabilities to learn from past instances and provide actionable insights for current and future socio-ecological dilemmas.

Topics of Interest

We invite original research papers that apply AI in the context of socio-ecological welfare, including but not limited to the following topics:

  • AI-Driven Innovations in Healthcare
  • AI in Mental Health and Digital Therapeutics
  • Eco-friendly innovation and sustainable development using AI
  • AI in resource management and conservation
  • Socially responsible AI solutions for society challenges
  • Integration of traditional ecological knowledge with AI
  • AI-driven policy-making for sustainable futures
  • Ethical considerations in the deployment of AI for socio-ecological welfare
  • Ethical and Access Considerations in AI for Health

Review and Publication Process

Each submission will undergo a rigorous double-blind review process by the special track's committee, evaluating the paper on originality, relevance to the track’s theme, technical soundness, and clarity of presentation.

Accepted papers will be included in the CEUR-WS proceedings, indexed by SCOPUS and Google Scholar, ensuring wide dissemination of your valuable work.

For a paper to appear in the proceedings, at least one of the authors must register for the AI track by the camera-ready copy deadline. Papers must be presented by one of the authors at the conference live. There will be no video presentations.

Submission Guidelines

All submissions must adhere to the formatting instructions of CEUR-WS. We invite to use the following latex template files CEUR-WS-ICCBR-AITRACK-2024 (latex) or the Word template CEUR-WS-ICCBR-AITRACK-2024 (word)

Papers should be no longer than 14 pages, excluding references.

Submissions must be in English and submitted electronically through the EasyChair submission system under the dedicated track "AI for Socio-Ecological Welfare" available at:https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=iccbr2024
